Complaints/disputes

If you have a complaint about an accredited installer, you may be able to provide a written complaint to the Clean Energy Council, using the dispute form. Where the Clean Energy Council determines the complaint is not frivolous, vexatious or motivated by professional rivalry, we will happily investigate the issue.

Where the complaint is of a serious nature e.g. safety issues, the investigator will immediately inform the Accredited person and may suspend Accreditation until the problem is rectified and the dispute is resolved. The Accredited person that is the subject of the complaint will be informed, in writing, of the nature of the matter to be investigated and allegations.

The Accredited person will be required to provide a written statement in response to the allegations. Where the Accredited person’s response leads to prompt resolution of the dispute, no further action will be taken.

Note: The Clean Energy Council only deals with complaints involving a breach of the relevant Accreditation Standards for Design and Installation of Solar PV Systems (see Standards and Accreditation Rules).
